The yacht club “Nautico Relocavi” was founded on the 3rd July 1968, by a group of people from the cities of Puerto Montt, Puerto Varas and Osorno with the mission of promoting sailing and navigation in the sea.

The first Committee was composed by: President, Mr. Alfredo Lavín Ramírez, Vice-president, Mr. Jorge Brahm Yurazeck, Secretary,  Mr. Jorge Jahnsen Nuñez, Treasurer, and the Directors, Mr. Victor Doggenweiler Trautmann,  Mr. Jorge Hott Prussing, Mr. Jorge Aubel Eggers,  Mr. Ricardo Vargas Biulety, Mr. Bernardo Horn Klenner  and  Mr. Jorge Tramón Hoffens.

The founders of the club were initially made up of 28 members and families with many new members incorporated over the years. They all have dedicated their best efforts to develop the marina, and the facilities that have allowed the yacht club “Náutico Reloncaví” to be listed as one of the major yacht clubs of South America.
